Job Summary
Inspect tractor and trailer for defects before and after trips, including tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and water, then submit a vehicle condition report. Drive the tractor and trailer combination to origin and destinations while observing all federal, state, and local laws governing intra and interstate transport. Maintain driver reports according to company policies and Department of Transportation regulations. Assist technologists when needed. Hold a valid commercial driving license with Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsement, a DOT physical, and a minimum of one year of experience. Minimum age of twenty-one.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum age of twenty-one (21) years
- Required to meet DOT physical qualifications and pass all drug screen tests
- A minimum of one (1) year experience as a driver of commercial motor vehicles similar to the type of equipment utilized by the Company or successful completion of the Company's documented training program
- Possession of a valid commercial driving license with Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsement (endorsements optional) issued by the resident state of the driver
- No record of a license suspension or revocation for more than thirty (30) days, for any reason, during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of the motor vehicle record
- No record of citation or conviction for the violations listed below during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the order date of the motor vehicle record
- No record of citation or convictions for more than four (4) motor vehicle violations (excluding those listed in requirement (6) during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the order date of the motor vehicle record)
- No record of involvement in more than two (2) at-fault traffic accidents while operating a motor vehicle during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the order date of the motor vehicle record
- No record of involvement in more than two (2) at-fault traffic accidents and not more than two (2) motor vehicle violations while operating a motor vehicle during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the order date of the motor vehicle record
- No record of involvement in more than one (1) at-fault traffic accident and more than three (3) motor vehicle violations while operating a motor vehicle during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the order date of the motor vehicle
