Job Summary
Conduct pick-ups and deliveries to and from assigned locations while maintaining a safe work environment and meeting DOT standards. Complete daily vehicle inspections, log books, and safety manual updates to ensure compliance and report findings to the supervisor. Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors while working independently on different shifts, including overtime, weekends, and over-the-road routes three to four days per week. Maintain a good driving record and possess the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A North Carolina CDL
- At least 3 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Good driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime
- Availability to drive long-distance (over-the-road/overnight) routes three to four days per week
- Excellent customer service
- Good oral, written, and listening skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
