Job Summary
Load and unload cargo, record delivery details, and drive long distances while taking new delivery orders. Fill up on fuel, clean the truck, and wash windows. Report road incidents to a dispatcher, monitor traffic conditions, and follow all applicable traffic laws. Inspect the trailer before and after trips, log activities, and report mechanical issues. Maintain the truck and equipment in good working order. Pass a background check, drug test, and skills verification test. Requires a current Class A CDL and three years of commercial driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to interpret, read manuals, and write reports in English
- Ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
- Ability to provide proper hand signals to crane and truck operators
- Ability to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and other workers on location before and during job task
- Ability to work at heights and use all PPE required for fall protection correctly
- Ability to employ physiological movements and actions associated with heavy work
- Bending, stooping, lifting, seeing hearing, walking, ability to lift 75 lbs., twisting, crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing
- Eyesight sufficient for operating a motor vehicle, inspection of equipment, and completion paperwork
- Hearing sufficient for telephone contact and interpersonal communication with Customers and coworkers
