Job Summary
Drive a box truck within an 80-mile radius of Batavia, NY, delivering solo freight to local homes daily. Ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations while detecting and minimizing hazards on the road. Load and unload freight or assist customers with these tasks as required. Operate well-maintained trucks equipped with pallet jacks, lift gates, and hand trucks. Work a Monday through Friday schedule starting between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, with no weekend shifts. Complete paid training on all necessary equipment and pass a road test.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Must have verifiable driving experience
- 6 Months experience in the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
