Job Summary
Assess, sort, and handle used goods while loading/unloading cargo with specialized equipment. Transport used goods between retail stores, outlets, donation centers, and the Cherrybell hub throughout Southern Arizona. Drive a two-ton truck and operate lift gates, hand trucks, and forklifts. Perform daily truck maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, and fluid refills. Complete daily paperwork and maintain communication with the Transportation Department. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. Work seven days a week, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of related driving experience
- ability to drive a two-ton truck
- ability to properly secure and distribute cargo
- ability to operate a forklift
- ability to use lift gates and hand trucks
- general knowledge of Southern Arizona, especially the Tucson metro area
- ability to use GPS
- ability to understand and adhere to all traffic signs
- basic mechanical knowledge
- at least 21 years old
- ability to pass the DOT physical
- ability to pass drug screen
- valid Arizona driver license
- acceptable driving record
- dependable to work anytime within operating hours
- ability to sit and stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- ability to bend, stoop, lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- ability to reach overhead
- ability to operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand-trucks
- ability to work in all weather conditions
- ability to work with moderate noise levels
- ability to maintain a positive work outlook
- ability to project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor
- ability to travel between locations, as needed
- ability to attend and participate in monthly meetings
