Job Summary
Night shift truck driver for National Diabetes Trust delivering/collecting items with a 3-Ton straight truck. Up to 29 hours per week with an overnight schedule, $500 signing bonus, and a 100% employer-paid pension plan eligibility-based. Responsibilities include driving established routes, performing pre/post trip inspections, completing daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service logs, logging vehicle documentation, checking in with dispatch, delivering donor messages, logging pickups, unloading merchandise, returning equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance. Must read maps, map routes for efficient pickup, maintain a professional public image, communicate effectively with diverse people, support the organization’s mission, and operate in compliance with laws. Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, valid Full Class 5/G license, 5 years driving experience (2 with professional training), clean driving record, and strong English communication. Location: Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Remote option: in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 Education or equivalent experience
- Must have Full Class 5 and / or G license or higher, passenger car or light truck
- Must have a minimum of 5 years actual driving experience at the above level. 2 years if the driver has received professional commercial vehicle training
- Must have a clean driver abstract, less than 21 days old, with no violations or accidents within the last 3 years
