Job Summary
Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites within designated time frames using efficient routes. Safely block, brace, and secure cargo while operating forklifts to transfer and load accurate product quantities. Maintain required logs and reports for DOT and company safety compliance, performing pre- and post-check operations on vehicles. Assist branch and warehouse operations with front counter duties, heavy lifting up to 40 lbs, and additional tasks as needed. Requires valid driver's license, DOT regulations knowledge, and minimum one year of commercial driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years old
- Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of employment
- Has a working knowledge of commercial truck mechanics
- Has a working knowledge of current Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Has a minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 years
- Placement as driver is contingent upon successful completion of DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background check
- DMV record cannot reflect an excess of 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years
- Valid driving license with excellent driving record
- Must pass DOT standards
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to proficiently use MS Office including Outlook & Excel, Mincron and a scanner
- Able to multi-task well with the ability to assist in warehouse or front counter or a branch as needed
- Be timely to work and conscientious of his/her time
- Ability to operate a forklift
- 3+ yrs. driving a commercial vehicle
- Current Valid Driver License
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs or lift lighter items repetitively or perform 2 man lifts for heavier items
- The ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
