Job Summary
Drive company-owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations, delivering product safely within customer-designated time frames while building vendor relationships. Produce and maintain accurate records for each delivery or pickup, including DOT Hours of Service and vehicle inspection data entered into the ELD system. Conduct complete and timely vehicle inspections per DOT regulations, communicate repair needs to mechanics, and keep the truck and trailer clean. Renew Class A CDL with proper endorsements and maintain familiarity with current DOT rules and regulations. Work Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings between 3:00pm and 5:00pm, with flexibility to cover routes as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Class A, Commercial Drivers License
- DOT Medical Certification
- Team player - builds and maintains positive relationships with team, other departments, as well as vendors
- Adaptable - maintains a positive disposition despite frequent changes
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 150 lbs
- Ability to control a two wheeler down a ramp on a trailer
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be able to work variable hours and days
