Truck Driver I - Highside

Job Summary
Drive company truck (van trailer/highside/switch truck/box truck) to service customer locations, switch trailers at customer accounts, and complete driving assignments as dispatched. Maintain customer relations, prepare and weigh loads, complete shipping documents and logs, perform DOT pre-trip/post-trip inspections, ensure loads are tarped and secured, conduct daily vehicle inspections, submit required reports, and perform data entry for trip documentation while working independently in an outdoor setting. Familiarity with multiple truck configurations and a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- CDL Class A license with no manual transmission restriction (E restriction)
- clear driving record
- proven customer service skills
- lift up to 75 lbs. while chaining
- legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills
- ability to work independently and be detailed oriented
- ability to maintain logbooks
- must be willing to work in an outdoor environment
- data entry for vendor codes and trip reports
- complete daily vehicle inspections and required reports
- DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- ability to perform tarp/secure loads
