Job Summary
Safely operate CDL Class A or B vehicles to transport roofing materials, equipment, and supplies to residential and commercial job sites, warehouses, and suppliers. Load, secure, and unload materials in accordance with company procedures and DOT requirements while inspecting vehicles before and after each trip. Verify load accuracy, assist warehouse personnel with organizing materials, and communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and job site supervisors. Maintain a clean professional appearance of company vehicles and provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and crews.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to safely operate trucks and secure loads
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Cooperative, problem solving behavior with co-workers, customers, and supervision
- Operates a variety of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, aerial lifts (man lifts), and other mobile machinery in a safe and efficient manner
