Job Summary
Operate refuse trucks on assigned route with a focus on safety, efficiency, and courteous service. Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, learning route geography, servicing waste/recycling bins using various collection vehicles, maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations, using in-cab routing systems, communicating with dispatch, and participating in trainings to enhance skills. Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, and teamwork while adhering to federal, state, and local health and safety rules. Requires CDL and DOT medical card and at least one year of experience; high school diploma or GED preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and DOT medical card.
- One year of refuse truck driving experience required.
- Experience in the resource recovery industry preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
