Job Summary
Operate company-owned vehicles on public streets and highways, delivering materials to customers and backhauling to the facility. Open and close facility gates, read shipping documents, and maintain accurate logs following dispatcher instructions. Secure loads using approved devices, perform pre and post trip inspections, and provide customer service during delivery and pickup. Facilitate window installations, identify safety or discrepancy concerns, and report deviations from bills of lading to the manager. Requires a Class R driver's license, one year of company driving experience, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs in changing weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must be 21 or older
- 1 year experience driving for a company with pre-trip vehicle knowledge
- Must have ability to work alone with common hand tools
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
- Must hold required non-commercial Class R driver's license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100lbs
- Ability to work in changing weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Box truck or flatbed experience preferred
- Can self-problem solve situations installing windows
