Job Summary
Transport industrial products safely and efficiently from designated pickup or drop-off sites. Operate the vehicle in accordance with company procedures, OSHA, DOT requirements, and all applicable laws. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, document checks using the DVIR, and immediately report unsafe situations or service issues to the Supervisor. Attend scheduled training programs and meetings, communicate customer requests, and identify repair needs. Ensure container counts reconcile with service lists, completely dump containers, and leave customer locations clean. Follow route assignments, complete end-of-day documentation, and check out processes. Work year-round with home every night.
Required Qualifications
- CLASS A CDL drivers
- Must be able to operate vehicle in accordance with Recycle Waste Services procedures and protocols, OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws
- Must be able to perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
- Must be able to immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to immediate Supervisor
- Must be able to attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required
- Must be able to work closely with the Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices
- Must be able to communicate customer requests to Supervisor
- Must be able to identify and report all needs for repair or replacement
- Must be able to ensure the number of containers on the route reconciles to the service level listed on service list
- Must be able to completely dump all containers and leave the customer's location clean and free of debris
- Must be able to follow route assignments as directed and complete end of day documentation and check out process
