Job Summary
Drive and maneuver dump trucks and water trucks in off-road settings to suppress particle build-up and maintain air quality. Safely unload material into designated areas while coordinating machine actions with crew signals. Perform routine equipment maintenance and adjust controls to exact positions as needed. Learn and promote all safety regulations. This role involves a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying atmospheric conditions. You will assist utilities and independent power producers in sustainably managing ash byproducts generated from coal combustion.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum one-year experience operating trucks
- Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving in a construction or similar environment
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate
