Job Summary
Drive and maneuver dump trucks and water trucks in an off-road setting to suppress particle build-up and unload material into designated areas. Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals while performing routine maintenance and adjusting controls to exact positions. Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations while operating equipment in a construction or ash management environment. This role requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work under pressure. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and at least one year of truck operating experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum one-year experience operating trucks
- Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving in a construction or similar environment
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate
