Job Summary
Drive and maneuver dump trucks and operate water trucks to suppress particle build-up and maintain air quality at designated job sites. Safely unload material into designated areas while coordinating machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, adjusting controls to exact positions as needed. Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations. This role requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying atmospheric conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum one-year experience operating trucks
- Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving in a construction or similar environment
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate
