Job Summary
Truck Driver with a Class A CDL drives tractor-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to production, supplier, and customer locations, adhering to Health, Safety, Environmental standards and DOT regulations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading using equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, hydraulic lifts, wheel loaders), maneuvering and docking, securing materials, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining logs and documentation, following dispatch instructions, and providing backup support in the yard. The role requires knowledge of automatic routing equipment and relevant policies, strong attention to safety, and the ability to operate within a scrap-yard environment. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality product safely and efficiently, with strict compliance to internal controls, safety protocols, and company policies. Placement at Cartersville, GA with on-site work and no required travel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s license (depending on available position)
- Valid Medical Card
- Twenty-Four (24) months verifiable Class A or B driving experience within the last five (5) years
- No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years
- No more than one (1) preventable accident in the last three (3) years
- Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Ability to use or learn automated systems for activities such as electronic logs, training, or others as needed to meet business requirements
- Acceptable PSP Report to include review of type, frequency, and total number of violations
