Job Summary
Deliver steel to customer locations on a flatbed trailer while tarping, strapping, and securing loads. Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients. Operate late model Penske trucks equipped with in-cab cameras to ensure safety for all. Work Monday through Friday from 5am to 10am, earning $31.45 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. Home daily with comprehensive benefits including paid vacation, health coverage, and a safety incentive program.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
- Ability to see and hear
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
- Ability to work the required schedule
- Ability to work at the specific location required
- Ability to complete Penske employment application
- Ability to submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history)
- Ability to submit to a drug screening
