Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules while detecting and eliminating safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and logs, and perform loading or unloading of freight as required by the customer. Operate a dry van tractor-trailer on a local home daily route within a 100-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN, delivering US Mail with no-touch freight. Follow written and oral instructions and apply relevant laws, rules, and procedures. Schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday shifts starting at 1:30 AM or 4:15 PM, with 35+ hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $989 to $1,204.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
