Job Summary
CDL Class A Truck Driver responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of metal and aluminum products to EMS customers. Duties include loading/unloading, securing loads per DOT cargo standards, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining DOT logs, and complying with local, state, and federal regulations. Requires communication with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure accurate deliveries and exemplary service; expected to operate 53ft tractor-trailers, back up safely, and maintain vehicle condition. Emphasis on load securement, OSHA/DOT compliance, and ability to work independently in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license
- Preferably 3 years of recent experience operating a 53ft tractor trailer
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong load securement knowledge
- Good communication and customer service skills
