Job Summary
Operate a Class B CDL waste collection truck on a defined Cedar Rapids route, perform pre-/post-trip inspections, safely load refuse and dispose of materials at the designated facility, read route sheets, interact with customers, complete required route/productivity sheets and VCRs, and maintain vehicle readiness while adhering to safety standards and company policies; participate in the ReSOP program and uphold professional, courteous service on every route.
Required Qualifications
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
- Safe driving record
- Ability to perform pre- and post-operation inspection of vehicle
- Ability to operate heavy truck and read route sheets
- Customer service skills and professional interaction with customers
- Adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Completion of vehicle condition reports (VCRs) daily
