Job Summary
Delivery driver will work with the distribution team to deliver complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers in MD, DC, VA and PA. Responsibilities include preparing the truck (loading, securing items, verifying shipping papers), delivering orders via the most effective route, documenting delivery activity, maintaining truck maintenance and driving records, following safety policies, performing occasional warehouse duties, operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, and maintaining communication with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions. Requires ability to operate a Class B truck with manual transmission, good driving record, and forklift/pallet jack experience; physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs; willingness to adapt to challenges and follow DOT safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience driving Class B Trucks - MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE MANUAL TRANSMISSION
- Good Driving Record
- Good Communication skills
- Fork lift experience
- Pallet Jack experience
- Willingness to adapt and change when presented with new challenges
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- Requires long periods of sitting.
- Frequently ascends/descends from truck during deliveries.
