Job Summary
In-person Truck Driver Instructor role at Tri Area Trucking School (Ross Education Holdings, Inc.) teaching new CDL drivers using an existing program. Responsibilities include delivering on-road and lot instruction (no classroom instruction at this time), following the established Ross curriculum, maintaining student records, and mentoring students while upholding the school’s core values. Must have 2+ years of recent truck driving experience, valid CDL A, and a current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card. Position is year-round, with pay of $20.00/hour, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, PTO, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and referral bonuses. JOB IS IN PERSON – IN A CLASSROOM, ON A LOT AND ON THE ROAD; location Benton Harbor, MI.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience
- Valid CDL A - no restrictions Driver’s License
- Current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather
- Ability to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform all driving related duties
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Perform related work as required
