Job Summary
Plan trips, manage breaks, fuel stops, and customer appointments while operating semi trucks, tank trailers, dry vans, or flat beds. Safely and efficiently load and unload products according to company and customer instructions, adhering to FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL regulations. Handle unforeseen circumstances and fluctuating weekly mileage on local routes. Obtain Haz Mat endorsement within 60 days of hire. Work weekends, nights, and holidays to ensure timely deliveries. Candidates must complete a DOT pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check, and functionality testing. ADM supplies uniforms for this full-time role in Decatur, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1 year of verifiable driving experience
- 1 year of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years
- Tanker Endorsement
- Haz Mat endorsement
- Must be able to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 90 days
- Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement
- No more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 years
- No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the last three years
- Must successfully complete a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Must successfully complete a DOT physical
- Must successfully complete a background check
- Must successfully complete functionality testing
- Must be able to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions)
- Must be able to manage unforeseen circumstances
- Must be able to safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions
- Must be available for weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations
- Must follow FMCSA policies and regulations
- Must follow OSHA policies and regulations
- Must follow EPA policies and regulations
- Must follow DOL policies and regulations
- Must be 21 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years
