Job Summary
Conduct solo flatbed deliveries to Oregon, Washington, and Northern California using 36-month or newer Day Cab trucks equipped with trailer-mounted forklifts. Load and unload freight or assist customers as required, while maintaining accurate logs and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Detect and eliminate safety hazards daily, making independent safety decisions as the captain of your vehicle. Perform other duties as assigned, including reading and interpreting traffic laws and regulations. Schedule runs Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 AM, with an average weekly pay of $1,745 and hourly rate of $29.51. Join a team of drivers in Salem, OR, where you receive paid training, 80 hours of PTO in your first year, and access to over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
