Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency laws while detecting and eliminating safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and logs, and load or unload freight as required by the customer. Perform other duties as assigned while operating a 2019 Freightliner sleeper on flatbed trailers across mostly Midwest routes. Weekly pay starts at $1500 with hourly rates of $33.00 and a $50 per diem. Minimum 21 years of age with verifiable Class A CDL experience and a DOT physical are required. Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and road test. Drivers receive 80 hours PTO, medical benefits after 30 days, and a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
