Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws while detecting and minimizing safety hazards. Load or unload freight as required by the customer and maintain accurate records and logs. Operate a Box Truck 26' or Sleeper with a Dry Van, 53' trailer delivering touch-screen doors and hardware to NY, CT, RI, NH, and MA. Work solo Monday through Friday with dispatch starting between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, covering 1100 to 1300 miles weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Must be available for Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
- Start Time: 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM Dispatch
