Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, detect safety hazards, and maintain accurate logs while loading or unloading freight as required. Operate a well-maintained sleeper tractor trailer delivering solo dry van, reefer, or 53' dry freight across the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Work a Sunday through Friday schedule with start times between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm, utilizing a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and 80 hours of PTO, supported by a fleet of trucks 36 months or newer with nationwide roadside assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Must be available for Sunday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
- Start Time: 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
