Job Summary
Transport materials to locations in a safe and timely manner while providing friendly customer service at loading and delivery sites. Secure the load and occasionally tarp the product, noting that no touch freight is required as materials are loaded and unloaded with a forklift. This full-time driving position offers a salary-based pay structure with opportunities for bonuses, a stable schedule, and potential for internal promotion. Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and flatbed experience. Carter Lumber, a family-owned company with over 160 locations, values honesty and hard work.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Flatbed experience
- Familiarity with DOT regulations
- Successfully pass required DOT pre-employment screening
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
