Job Summary
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules while detecting and eliminating safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and logs, and load or unload freight as required by the customer. Perform other duties as assigned. Operate a well-maintained, safe tractor trailer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling access. Deliver solo freight to Kentucky and Tennessee in a local home daily route using a day cab and dry van 53'. Schedule includes Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday with flexible AM and PM shifts, including an 11-hour daily drive time for the first two years. Weekly pay starts at $1,230 with solo miles, stops, drop and hook, and shutdown bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
