Job Summary
Truck Driver/CDL-A position based in York, PA for a paving and excavating company. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, transporting and delivering aggregates, blacktop, and equipment between quarries and construction zones, backing into pavers, maneuvering in tight construction areas, and site support tasks such as shoveling and brooming. Requires HS Diploma or GED, valid CDL-A (and/or Class B) with a current medical examiner's certificate, clean driving record, experience with flat bed or low boy, ability to lift 50-75 pounds, and able to work around city construction sites and variable daily job sites. Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Requires a Class A and/or Class B and a current medical examiner's certificate
- Experience with Flat Bed or Low Boy is required
- Safely move and load various heavy equipment on and off of flatbed trailers
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and the ability to lift 50-75 pounds as needed
- Ability to drive around construction sites and tight spaces within city limits
- Ability to navigate to various job sites throughout any given day
- Communication with Foreman
- Time Management & Productivity
- Daily Pre-trip inspection and post inspections
- Material Transport: Haul aggregates, blacktop, and equipment between quarries, asphalt plants, and construction zones
- Backing trucks safely into pavers or maneuvering through tight construction zones with low clearances
- Site Support assist with manual labor, such as shoveling /raking/ brooming to finish edges and joints when work is needed
