Operate a heavy commercial truck, tractor trailer, or straight truck with a pup trailer to provide prompt delivery and removal of large containers. Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment are in proper working order, reporting any issues on standard reports. Safely operate the truck along designated routes, read route sheets, and service customers as identified by the dispatcher or supervisor. Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the yard, identify unsatisfactory waste containers, and tag them according to departmental procedures. Clean waste from containers and container edges on each disposal trip to minimize downtime. Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other reports as required. Maintain adherence to productivity standards, safety policies, and federal regulations while interacting courteously with customers and dispatchers.
