Job Summary
Operate Class A tanker trucks, semi trucks, tank trailers, dry vans, pneumatic, intermodal, and flat beds while planning trips for breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic, and construction conditions. Safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions, managing unforeseen circumstances and fluctuating weekly mileage. Follow all government, company, and customer policies including FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL regulations. Work weekends, nights, and holidays to ensure timely deliveries. Obtain Haz Mat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1 year of verifiable driving experience
- 1 year of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years
- Tanker Endorsement
- Haz Mat endorsement
- Must be able to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions)
- Must be able to manage unforeseen circumstances
- Must be able to safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions
- Must be available for weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 90 days
- Must be 21 years of age
- No more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 years
- No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the last three years
- Must successfully complete a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Must successfully complete a DOT physical
- Must successfully complete a background check
- Must successfully complete functionality testing
