Job Summary
Operate a heavy-duty truck or large van to deliver merchandise to stores and customers, performing special pickups and deliveries while maintaining knowledge of the assigned geographical area. Conduct daily vehicle inspections of oil, water, tires, and other items to ensure good operating condition, then clean and secure the vehicle and equipment. Load store deliveries and sold merchandise onto trucks in an organized manner while adhering to state and federal statutes. Requires a valid state driver's license, DOT medical card, and one year of driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid State Driver's License
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Knowledge of the geographical area assigned
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
