Job Summary
Operate the vehicle within state/federal statutes while delivering merchandise to stores and customers, performing special pickups and deliveries from the garage. Conduct daily inspections of oil, water, tires, and other items to maintain good operating condition, then clean and secure the vehicle and equipment. Load store deliveries and sold merchandise onto trucks in the most organized manner. Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and remain knowledgeable of the assigned geographical area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid State Driver's License
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Knowledge of the geographical area assigned
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License
