Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks to deliver merchandise to stores and customers while adhering to state and federal statutes. Conduct daily vehicle inspections for oil, water, and tires; clean and secure equipment. Perform special pickups, load deliveries in an organized manner, and navigate assigned geographical areas. Maintain sufficient English proficiency to converse with the general public. Requires a valid state driver's license and DOT medical card.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid State Driver's License
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Knowledge of the geographical area assigned
- Ability to operate the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License
