Job Summary
Operate bulk truck loading facilities to load cement and weigh incoming coal trucks under shipping department supervision. Transfer cement from main storage silos, maintain silo levels, and process weight tickets and bills of lading. Perform operational maintenance on air compressors, dust collectors, and pumps while utilizing computer systems. Adhere to safety policies including MSHA rules, lockout/tagout, and emergency response plans. Maintain a safe working environment through daily housekeeping, workplace inspections, and proper use of plant radios. Work 12-hour rotating shifts with minimum supervision while troubleshooting root causes and promoting continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- good mathematical skills
- Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating shift
- Ability to deal with public and maintain good customer relations
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Basic mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good physical condition as position may require bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing, stairs and lifting
- high degree of manual dexterity and coordination
- good eye/hand coordination
