Job Summary
Truck and Equipment Mechanics perform maintenance on service trucks and heavy diesel vehicles, specializing in repairs and inspections of trucks, buses, and trailers. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, conducting routine services, and ensuring safe vehicle operations. Required qualifications include a minimum of four years as a Journeyman heavy-duty Mechanic, proficiency with diesel diagnostic software, and completion of necessary certifications and training programs. Physical requirements involve standing, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs, while adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years or more as Journeyman heavy duty Mechanic
- Must be able to maintain record of serviced equipment and trucks
- Must be able to run diagnostic tests on heavy equipment and trucks
- Must be able to perform preventive maintenance on service heavy equipment and all trucks
- Must be able to maintain inventory of all equipment parts
- General knowledge of basic hand tools
- Must be able to complete the NCCER certification for your craft
- Must be able to complete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client/Site specific training
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
