Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair farm equipment, company vehicles, transport trucks, and trailers. Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements. Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Repair defective components and maintain accurate maintenance records and service files. Support winter operations involving snow plowing and salting when necessary. Adhere to all health and safety policies while keeping the work environment clean and organized. This role requires 5+ years of experience, a Truck and Coach Technician Certificate, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay is $35.00 to $42.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Truck & Coach Technician or in a related mechanical repair role
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ̊C / 55 ̊F
- The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example
- A positive attitude in the workplace is required
- The ability to adhere to all human resources, operational and food and health safety policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Truck and Coach Technician Certificate (310T) preferred or currently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Truck and Coach Apprenticeship program
- Experience using diagnostic software, computers, and scan tools is considered an asset
