Job Summary
Interact with customers, vendors, and team members while delivering unparalleled hospitality. Prepare ingredients, assemble and serve fresh food and smoothies, and operate the register by taking orders and managing cash drawers. Maintain sanitation practices, set up workstations, and clean kitchen, dining, restroom, and other cafe areas. Follow safety and security policies and perform additional tasks necessary to run the café. Work flexible hours starting at 5:00 AM or until midnight based on availability. This role supports Tropical Smoothie Café's mission to promote a healthier lifestyle through delicious, tropical-inspired food and drinks.
Required Qualifications
- Able to work starting at 5:00 AM or until midnight if required, based on café hours and availability
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift
- Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash
- Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers
- Safely navigate in a fast-paced café environment
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stopping, overhead reaching and stretching
- Lifting no greater than 50 pounds
