Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of the café by recruiting, interviewing, and training crew members while driving sales and managing labor and food costs. Conduct weekly food inventories, reconcile invoices, and hit sales goals using Micros MyInventory to control expenses. Manage and delegate all functions including product preparation, customer service, and cleaning duties while ensuring safe sanitation practices. Maintain employee schedules, perform daily safe counts, and submit accurate payroll by the bi-weekly deadline. Train staff during shifts to uphold brand standards and attend weekly conference calls and area meetings. Review Profit & Loss statements to monitor performance. Expect to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two or more years of restaurant experience
- Progressive supervisory experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Current valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Word
- Ability to learn to use other computer software programs
- Strong mathematical skills
- Analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
- Must be willing to work starting at 5am OR until midnight if necessary
- Expect to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, late evenings and early mornings
