Job Summary
Lead and develop the team while delivering unparalleled hospitality, driving sales, and managing expenses including food and labor costs. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new crew members and assistant managers to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Manage daily café operations, including product preparation, customer service, and cleaning duties, while ensuring safe sanitation practices. Conduct weekly food inventory, manage ordering processes, and reconcile invoices using Micros MyInventory. Hit sales goals, control labor, and manage cash through daily safe counts and drawer reconciliations. Submit bi-weekly payroll and review profit and loss statements. Maintain employee schedules and fill in when needed, while attending weekly conference calls and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two or more years of restaurant experience
- Progressive supervisory experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Current valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to learn to use other computer software programs
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
- Must be willing to work starting at 5am OR until midnight if necessary
- Expect to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, late evenings and early mornings
- Must be able to lift no greater than 50 pounds
