Job Summary
Check all returning School Bus Vehicles at the assigned Bus Yard for students left on board after double-check by the driver. Board every vehicle, inspecting under, behind, and between all seats from front to back and again from back to front, including the driver's compartment. Mark off the vehicle number on the Triple Check Sheet immediately after inspection. Report any vehicles not properly checked or missing double-check signs to the Branch Manager. Report and finish duties when the Branch Manager determines the schedule for AM and PM routes. Submit completed sheets to the Branch Manager immediately after each shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Must be able to climb up and down School Bus Vehicle stairs
- Must be able to walk from front to back and back to front on all School Bus Vehicles
- Must be able to walk up to 3 hours in the AM and 3 hours in the PM every day
- Must be able to Lift
- Must be able to use other means to assist passengers
- Must be able to communicate professionally with children, the public, school officials and workforce
