Job Summary
TRIO Student Success Services Advisor on-campus in Laramie leads design and delivery of individualized advising services and group workshops to support SSS-eligible UW students (first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities). Responsibilities include one-on-one and holistic advising across academic, career/major, financial, and personal support; recruiting and serving participants under federal/SEO guidelines; building collaborations with UW colleges/departments; ensuring compliance with federal regulations and grant guidance; coordinating events, marketing services, and communicating program successes; collecting and validating participant data and outcomes; using Microsoft Office daily; and occasional evening/weekend hours with in-state and out-of-state travel for professional conferences. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of experience, valid driver's license, and successful background check for working with minors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2 years of comparable experience
- Valid driver's license with MVR compliance
- Successful criminal background check for working with minors

- Experience with TRIO programs
- Knowledge of federal grant guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Instructional experience at the post-secondary level
- Knowledge of post-secondary student success/retention strategies
- Ability to travel for conferences/training
