Job Summary
Operate as a member of a tree crew while progressively learning tree pruning, removal, and safety skills. Perform tree identification, prune and remove deadwood, and install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Maintain and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Assist in the removal of hazardous trees and complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Full-time role with up to 25% travel, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within an employee-owned company.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Travel Expectations: Up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
