Job Summary
Operate as a member of a tree crew to trim, prune, and remove deadwood or hazardous trees while learning to climb safely. Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services, including installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Properly maintain and operate tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. This role offers opportunities for advancement within a career development program supported by industry expert safety specialists and skills trainers.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Travel Expectations: Up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
