Job Summary
Trim and remove trees, prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy to ensure health and safety. Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreman, performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully. Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems, and remove hazardous trees. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more. Requires a Commercial Driver's License with airbrake endorsement and experience in Utility Line Clearance Trimming. Includes up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License w/ airbrake endorsement
- Experience in Utility Line Clearance Trimming
- Must be able to climb trees
- Must be available for travel up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
