Job Summary
Trim excess plastic from parting lines, inspect product, and communicate findings to machine operators. Assemble product according to work instructions, perform assigned tasks to time standards, and account for work via online data collection. Select correct hand tooling, resolve basic manufacturing issues, and report material, production, and quality control problems. Maintain performance logs, participate in equipment preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Work the 3rd shift (10pm-6am, Sunday-Thursday) with a $2 shift differential and signing bonus.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment
- Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and transport product and materials short distances
- Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment
- Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects
- Must have strong metal grinding, forming and basic fabrication background
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure online manuals
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
- Work in an efficient and timely manner
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with overhead crane use
- A High School diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred
