Job Summary
Greet members and staff with exemplary service while delivering pre-written workouts and coaching proper form to help new members achieve their fitness goals. Assist with the training of new coaches, maintain proper certifications, and consistently hit personal, retention, and revenue goals set by the Fitness Director. Actively recruit members for all programs and sessions, organize catch-up sessions for missed training, and complete weekly attendance sheets and payroll procedures. Circulate through the fitness floor to identify equipment issues, support fellow coaches, and ensure studios remain clean and tidy. Ensure proper coverage of sessions via Net Gym requests in case of illness, injury, or vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with a variety of UVAC staff, guests, and members
- A passion for health and fitness
- Basic computer skills, required (Word, Excel, Emails, Google)
- Need to have passed a Tribe certification training
- Must have AED and CPR certification or obtain it within 3 months of being hired
- Must have flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, holidays, or special events
- Must be able to lift objects, reach, bend, and climb stairs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in health and fitness, exercise science, or related field, preferred
- Certification by a nationally recognized accredited certification body
- Minimum of 1 year of training experience, preferred
- Experience with Paychex or NetGym, a plus
