Job Summary
Independently triage phone calls acting as a patient and family advocate to assist callers through the health care system. Access MSDS software to address chemical spills in both emergent and non-emergent situations while maintaining a customer-driven professional attitude. Adjust approaches to reflect the developmental level and cultural differences of the population served, partnering with patient caregivers in care and decision-making. Provide patient education based on an assessment of learning needs and ensure a safe, secure environment. Complete all required learning relevant to the role and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards. Requires a current Minnesota RN license and Wisconsin RN license.
Required Qualifications

- Acts in the role of patient and family advocate to assist them through the health care system
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in triaging callers properly such that all callers receive a timely and appropriate response
- Able to access MSDS software to assist employee with information regarding chemical spills, etc. in both emergent and non-emergent
- Maintains a customer driven professional attitude
- Takes action to meet and exceeds the needs of customers
- Continuously implements strategies to improve customer satisfaction
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
- Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making
- Communicates in a respective manner
- Ensures a safe, secure environment
- Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs
- Modifies clinical interventions based on population served
- Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver
- Fulfills all organizational requirements
- Completes all required learning relevant to the role
- Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards
- Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- 3-5 years
- Current Minnesota RN License
- Wisconsin RN License
- Employee required to submit application for WI RN License within 30 days of hire
- Employee required to obtain WI RN License within 120 days
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- BLS Certification
